Tarbat Ness Lighthouse

With the weather looking reasonable this particular Saturday we headed over to Tarbet Ness Lighthouse for our first ever visit. The lighthouse is about an hour’s drive from home on a peninsular north east of the Black Isle. We had great weather with a good amount of sunshine and lovely warm temperatures, for a change!

Below is a selection of the photos. Although the lighting was not my normal golden hour preference, it was great fun trying to look for interesting compositions, as well as using the lighthouse as a focal point in some subtle reflections in rock pools. The shags provided some interest as they sunned themselves on the rather ‘messy’ rocks that were marbled with their waste disposal techniques!

Definitely a place that we would recommend visiting!
