Little Langdale and the caves

Our final family day in this excellent location. Although the weather was wet today we decided to head over to Little Langdale. We stopped on the way at Skelwith Bridge and took some photos of the River Brathay while trying to keep the camera dry from the rain!

From here we moved on to Little Langdale in order to visit the Cathedral Cavern, part of a man made quarry. Head torches were needed at some points!

These are a couple of photos taken from where we parked the car when the sun was attempting to break through the rain clouds - it didn't last for long!

Another glimpse of the sun.

Finally a few photos of autumn colours as we made our journey back to the car.

A fun way to end a great week.
